Description

The lower Guadalentin is a great canyon perfectly excavated. One of the most aesthetic of the natural park.

To access the lower Guadalentín, we only have to go down the stairs of the dam to the bottom. A few meters away we find the first and highest rappel, about 15m, which leaves us in a very deep pool of crystalline waters.

Subsequently, upwellings form a great “natural shower”. From here, and along the entire lower Guadalentín canyon, we find corners of spectacular beauty combined with slides, jumps, more rappels, hanged pools, siphons (avoidable), chaos of rocks …

And during the whole tour we are surrounded by large limestone walls of more than 100 m height that sometimes almost touch each other.

The descent of the lower Guadalentín ends in a huge pool that can be jumped from different places.

A path, sloping average the first 10 minutes and quite flat afterwards, takes us to the cars in about 25 – 30 minutes.
