Description

The first via ferrata in the natural park of Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas.

Very close to the town is located the first via ferrata of the Natural Park of Cazorla, specifically in the mountain known as La Mocha.

It is a ferrata route of about 250 m of unevenness that saves several sections of vertical rocky walls and alternates with intermediate sections more horizontal in which you can rest. The most spectacular part is the final section, the cone of La Mocha, which, after climbing, gives us access, by means of a crossing in the middle of the wall, to a suspension bridge of about 40 m in length.

Before beginning the ascent, we will practice with the use of the carabiners in a smaller ferrata route so that you accustom to the handling of the same. When you are ready, we will move to the beginning of the route, which is about 100 m away from where the practices are done.

The guide will go first to assist you in the sections that present a little difficulty so that you are safe at all times.

It is ferrata route without much difficulty but in a very mountaineering environment and with spectacular views both of the countryside as of the mountains that surround to Cazorla. In addition, enjoy at all times magnificent views of the castle Templar La Iruela.
